Subordination 6.10 is the tenth chapter of Subordination.
Plot[edit]
After being told by a third powerful figure that Blake is not long for this world, he tries to distract himself by analyzing the scene and people around him. Isadora continues explaining how Rose is fated to take his place, and that they may already be unconsciously aware of it. She tries to comfort Blake by reminding him she won't attack until tomorrow because she wants him to take the first shot at punishing the Behaim Circle for waking her up from her 18 hour sleep. Blake starts asking her some questions which then turns into a sort of philosophy debate.
Isadora argues that everything can be reduced down to Right and Wrong; that there is only one Right answer and a near infinite Wrong answers; and that whether one looks into the densest atoms or the entire universe, they'll always see very little substance compared to the vast amounts of nothingness. Therefore Right and Wrong are linked to existence and nonexistence. However Blake counter argues that despite her earlier asking a yes/no question, he still managed a third answer, silence. Similarly Isadora also proposed that she would kill him if he won or lost the contest with Conquest, but Blake proposes that there may be three other outcomes. Blake asks Isadora to not hurt his friends, to which she promises she won't as long as they stay out of the way. Satisfied, she leaves.
Heading back inside, Blake sees Mary and the Tallowman bound in circles. He explains his conversation with Isadora and how he is fated to die. They all mourn for him.
Later that day, Fell hands Blake an escape hatch to the spirit world. They briefly go over the plan again. Fell is surprised Maggie has both Goblin and Faerie magic since associating with one tends to scare off the other. Rose explains a bit about Chronomancy; its limitations and its costs. All caught up, they initiate the plan. Fell, Maggie, Rose, and Alexis return to the spirit world. Blake sneaks a peak at them using his Sight, and notices lots of interesting stuff, most notably how wild Maggie looks. They make their way to the Police Station, splitting off to their positions. Inside the station are four members of the Behaim Circle, whom notices Blake relatively slowly. Nonetheless, they corner him into the bathroom. Rose summons Mary, and, with Blake and Evan's help, they terrify the younger female Behaim into submission. Blake draws a crowd around the girl, and uses the chaos to escape.
