One After Another 10.z is the tenth chapter of One After Another. We learn more about Edith James' history and her goals

Plot

We learn about the Girl by Candlelight's history.

We see how the Girl by Candlelight and Mathew meet. They later meet Charles (this is before he is foresworn).

There is a goblin funeral

Maricica reveals that Guiilherme hired the Witch Hunter Raphael. She also gives Edith a syringe, presumably of the same kind that the trio took from the cabin.

Maricica reveals to Edith that the girls want to bind her. If Edith is bound, the Doom will dwindle and Mathew will realize that she is the creator of the Doom. She created the Doom to tie make him stay with her, and as his strength has grown, she's grown the Doom proportionally.

Maricica says that if Edith can convince the trio that she is the primary culprit, then Maricica and her group will release her from any binding or circumstance.
