One After Another 10.4 is the ninth chapter of One After Another. Verona has a productive vacation with her mother.

Plot

Verona is lounging at the lake side with Tashlit communicating and drawing with her friend.

She has an extended interview with David Williams who works for the Children's Aid Society, she ends up getting a headache from the stress.

It is agreed that Verona will stay with Jasmin for the time being and that Brent will attend anger managment, parenting classes and therapy. With regular visits by CAS and contact with Verona's mum.

Much later as they prepare to leave Verona visits the local Others at the vacation spots and leaves little gifts, observing forms as a practitioner.

In an area with a local Lord Verona mistakes a disabled man with an Other, the actual Other envoy finds it amusing and wishes her a good journey.

Much later Verona has seemed to repair her relationship with her mother.

Her best friends arrive and it turns out Rook has a friend herself.
