Olivery Bracelet

The Olivery Bracelet is the Friendship bracelet meant to represent the connection between Olivia and Avery, it has found other uses since.

Uses

Avery stored various items as tokens on the bracelet through the use of glamour.<ref> Avery pulled the charm from her bracelet.  Hockey stick, thoroughly enchanted.

She opened her hand and it was misty under the Sight, colors different; emerald, amber, alabaster.  The colors were richer, almost crystalline in how the light brought out the shades as it passed through, how it was darker where the light didn’t quite pass.

She closed her eyes, turned off the Sight, and opened her eyes again.

Avery later turned it into her Barometer.<ref>Then she pulled the friendship bracelet off her wrist. Since then several charms have been added to it that signify all the paths she's run, these include<ref>It settled into the ‘barometer’ bracelet she’d made herself a while ago, where it became a little circle of metal, held fast by the weave around it. The woven friendship bracelet had little bits and bobs here and there, wedged between the fibers, or included with the fibers. A thin ribbon worked into the weave, a white stripe in the mix. A little key in primary school red. A bit of fishing-line style material that caught the light easily. There was a loose thread here, eager to be caught, and one of the fireflies had taken roost in another hollow, from the Left Field.

History

Olivia purchased the bracelet for Avery and meant to keep adding tokens for it, but she eventually dropped her end of things.<ref>Avery reached to her wrist, where she had a few charms hanging from a simple rope bracelet.

A bracelet Olivia had bought her.  The pledge on Olivia’s part had been that she’d buy a new charm for the bracelet every birthday and Christmas, in addition to other presents.  Olivia had given it with one charm, a skate, then forgot the following Christmas, then bought a rabbit, and then the friendship had ended.  Olivia had gone to play for Swanson and had ghosted Avery, ignoring and then blocking the messages Avery had sent.  It wasn’t even like she’d sent many, or been demanding, or even been accusatory.  She’d sent two the first week, then one a week for the next two weeks.  Then after another month, she’d sent Olivia a happy birthday message.  She hadn’t even cared about the hockey team or Olivia leaving, only that she’d lost a friend.

Avery had dug up the bracelet because it was convenient.  It was a strong bracelet, and with other charms removed, she could add her own. - Excerpt from Stolen Away 2.9</ref>

Avery took it with her on the Forest Ribbon Trail her long stay there may have left it with powers.

Avery later preformed the magic meant to make it a Barometer.

During the familiar ritual Snowdrop hooked one of her silver earrings on the bracelet.<ref>“I’m calling this off, I don’t accept, I can’t trust you,” Snowdrop said.  She pulled off an earring.  She reached over to Avery’s friendship bracelet and stuck the length of the earring through the braided fabric.  “I swear nothing.”

To Avery’s Sight, the mist rolled, and she could see the tether of the connection between them, extending along her arm, with friendship bracelet with the dangling opossum charm.  It worked around the black rope..

Trivia

• There is a discrepancy wheather olvia bought or made the bracelet. Some combination of the two such as buying the materials and making it by hand is possible.
• The name used here is an in wiki appellation, formed from a portmanteau of the girls names, as per shipping rules.
