Nibble is a Couch Ghoul that joined Kennet after the fall of the perimeter.

Personality

Prior to becoming a ghoul he was easy going<ref name=":1" />

He is normally mellow and humorous but is currently stressed out over the well-being of Chloe.<ref>Nibble was kind and good and funny when he let his guard down, which seemed to be a thing that was rarer and rarer, but he did have his downsides, and one of those downsides was that every time she wore one of these two rompers she liked, short sleeved, short legged, one piece, buttons down the front, floral pattern, he’d drop an idle comment about how he didn’t ‘get’ certain fashion.- Excerpt from One After Another 10.c</ref>

Relationships

He love his partner Chloe and is highly protective of her.

All his family passed away at the same time leaving Nibble to live off their inheritance.<ref name=":1">“It is.  I used to be… kind of fun, I guess.  I might be editing my memories there.  I used to be a loser.  I think my family had money, they left me money when they all passed, all at once.  I stopped living life, ended up like this.  But I used to be easygoing and now I don’t get the chance.”- Excerpt from Shaking Hands 9.2</ref>

He and Chloe were romantically involved with another ghoul named Faith, Faith went into a death frenzy due to lack of food and was eventually killed. Nibble blames himself for her death.<ref>Nibble & Chloe met alongside a third while foraging for sustenance.  As ghouls they eat dead matter.  The three became a foraging pack and became romantically involved as part of this.

In Summer 2019 they had a scarcity of accessible food.  Efforts to curtail ghoul population restricted access to common foraging grounds.  This caused the ultimate death frenzy of their third (who became so hungry she lost all sense of caution and put herself in the way of hunters) and Chloe’s steep decline and loss of humanity.  Subject best avoided with Nibble: lots of self-blame.  Nibble was not aware the other two could not get some small sustenance from television as he did and they were not clear about how poorly they were doing.- Excerpt from [8.a Spoilers] New Other Correspondence #1</ref>

Appearance

Nibble is skinny, long greasy black hair and wears a beanie hat.<ref>Nibble was skinny, dressed in a long-sleeved shirt, shorts, and beanie hat with bits of greasy black hair sticking out- Excerpt from Shaking Hands 9.1</ref> With abnormal fingers and teeth that have became calcified.<ref>Nibble did a good job of hiding that his fingertips were abnormal, flesh calcified in a way that made it hard to tell where the finger ended and the nail started.  His teeth were similar, only visible for a fraction of a second as he bent down to say something to Chloe.  Ridged, pointed, but the line between one tooth and the next was hard to make out.- Excerpt from Shaking Hands 9.1</ref>

Abilities

Weaker in sunlight but not to the same degree as Chloe.<ref>Chloe shied back from the sky, which was more purple than anything, the sun well on its way to setting.  Nibble didn’t seem so bothered.- Excerpt from Shaking Hands 9.2</ref>

He can get a small amount of sustenance from TV light.<ref name=":0">Nibble Gets low level of sustenance from games/TV/artificial light.  Like plants & sun.  My initial read after several conversations is that he is very mellow and jokey by nature but this is heavily suppressed by stress over current circumstance (see below).- Excerpt from [8.a Spoilers] New Other Correspondence #1</ref>

He can see Life and sense Death.<ref>We took them on because they are fairly effective in a scrap, and they can see Life and smell Death.  Their ability to see Life means they can notice many of those who might try to slip through the perimeter.  The smelling of Death means they may notice the aftermath of any trouble caused by any intruders: bodies/dead residents/dead animals.- Excerpt from [8.a Spoilers] New Other Correspondence #1</ref>

Chronology

Chloe and Nibble joined Kennet in the hope of finding food.

Helped out with Bathos the Abyssal bottom feeder.

Nibble and Chloe encountered Raphael whilst patrolling, Chloe attacked him and ended up going feral due to her injuries.<ref>- One After Another 10.c</ref>

Later on during the battle at the warehouse Nibble sustains an injury, losing part of a leg.<ref>Lucy had no idea how the Kennet Others had let them get this far.  Nibble had to lean on a wall to prop himself up, because one of his legs was partially missing, the end ragged.- Excerpt from One After Another 10.3</ref>

After Edith arrest he helped Verona figure out the Impulse Wraiths nature.<ref>- Dash to Pieces 11.6</ref>

He helped Chloe fight against the Dog Meat during the fight outside Kennet Arena.<ref>Chloe came tearing out of the woods, intercepting the Dog Meat.  The two immediately began thrashing one another.

A nail-studded hand raked Chloe’s face, and that was enough to set Nibble off.  He leaped into the fray, working with Chloe to tear into and bite at the Other.- Excerpt from Summer Break 13.13</ref>
