Void 7.10 is the tenth chapter of Void. The cabal practices amateur diplomacy between the factions of Toronto as Blake tries to secure their permission to Practice again.
Plot[edit]
Blake and his friends are dreadfully scouting the Abstract Demon's factory for clues on defeating her. Rose suspects the graffiti is key to what is binding the Demon. After Evan returns from a screaming match with a hawk, he is inspired with the idea of setting himself on fire. As they finish collecting information, Blake and Alexis discuss the concerns they share about Maggie, something is off about that girl.
They drive over to the Diana Thompson AKA The Astrologer's shack, picking up Maggie on the way. Diana offers them tea, sympathy and apologies, and in turn, Blake offers her a deal. The cabal agrees to try and intercede with her "Sisters of the Torch situation" in exchange for her permission to allow Blake to use magic. Diana gives it after Blake swears not the use any of the tools or power he gains in the interbellum. Afterward Tyler is treated to a lecture as Diana expound on the focus of her study.
Later, they enter the Sisters of the Torch Demesne to discuss a deal. While negotiations were slow at first, with the Elder Sister not wanting to deal with the tainted Thornburns. Alexis and Tiffany help speed things along. The Elder Sister agrees to give Blake permission to use magic and lots of fire in exchange for Blake to back down.
Lastly, they hunt down The Shepherd, following his connections to dead spirits at hospitals to the man himself. Having been phoned by Ty, Blake and Evan arrive and try to convince The Shepherd to help. The Valkalla is his typical uncommunicative self shaking his head to whatever the pair suggests. Only when Blake threatens to start collecting ghosts, making things harder for the Valkalla does he silently concede to let Blake use magic again. He signs some sort of signature there in the snow and departs.
Having secured the ascent of the balance of Conquests champions the group decides to contact the Knights and prepare their attack on the Demon. Blake decides to get an implement.
Major Events[edit]

Trivia[edit]
- The Elder Sister hints that Blake's series of unfortunate events may not be entirely caused by bad karma.
- Rose being "tainted" by conquest may have been part of the reason she was able to bind him.
- Evan combining his form with fire is a recurring motif.
