Lenard Lily is a Bedlamite and a member of the St. Victor's Practitioners.
Relationships[edit]
His student, Joshua chose him to protect the other kid from him, or so the Aurum believes.<ref>Joshua Roberts would go to Lenard Lily. Joshua wanted strength, because his father was a brute. His need to defend others from more brutishness would lead him to take the scariest teacher, to protect younger kids like he wanted to protect his three younger siblings at home. - Excerpt from Crossed with Silver 19.z</ref>
Appearance[edit]
Described with bad teeth, juicy, full lips that drew the eye to the teeth, eyes with a lot of white around them, under brows that were perpetually lowered in what could be read as a glare or perpetual confusion.<ref>None of the children were especially fond of Lenard. His appearance was offputting, according to the children. Among themselves, they’d talked a fair bit about him, describing bad teeth, juicy, full lips that drew the eye to the teeth, eyes with a lot of white around them, under brows that were perpetually lowered in what could be read as a glare or perpetual confusion. - Excerpt from Crossed with Silver 19.z</ref> Described as Wormy-mouthed, pear-shaped, 'smile to your face and then be casually cruel' by Teddy<ref>Was it worth working with wormy-mouthed, pear-shaped, ‘smile to your face and then be casually cruel’ Lenard fucking Lily, though? - Excerpt from Finish Off 24.a</ref>
Abilities and Art[edit]
He is a skilled Scourge and Bedlamite.
- He can create doorways to the abyss.<ref>Lenard stood by, ready to help. To disable Musser, delay his allies, and use his practice to try to create a doorway. - Excerpt from Crossed With Silver 19.z</ref>
- He can use a bedlamite scream.
- Uses black crooked branches that shoot out abyssal energy<ref>Teddy had his own black, crooked branch that Lenard had made, which worked as a go-to weapon. - Excerpt from Finish Off 24.a</ref><ref>Holding the black branch felt like holding a live wire. The Abyss ran deep into the world, it ran through him, and it sat heavy in the branch. Pushing himself into and through the branch felt like being on the verge of vomiting and forcing it to happen. The body wanted to, he wanted to, even for the relief alone, and all it took was using uncommon mechanisms and biology, flexing muscles that didn’t get used that way.
Connecting the flow, making the blackness pump through him, out through the branch, in a violent release he wasn’t equipped to easily describe. Like being mad enough to thrash someone, as a starting point, but black, not red, and not someone. Everything.
He aimed for the mask. The Abyssal energy flowed out and tore past tree, wood, grass, caught the back of one leg, and shredded it.</ref> He had knowledge on things like Winter Court Fae<ref>They stopped in their tracks as they saw Lenard had stopped. A Winter Fae was trudging through the snow.
“Sir,” Lenard said, ducking his head in a bow. The kids followed suit. “Good hunting to you.”
The Fae didn’t respond, and trudged onward, toward the rooftop where the situation was wrapping up. - Excerpt from Crossed with Silver 19.z</ref>
Chronology[edit]
He was forsworn before the start of Pale<ref>A Lord took over Peterborough just before Musser came here. They shook Allaire’s hand and agreed to work with him, and I don’t think they’ll ever realize on their own, but if they do, I’m not confident they’ll care enough to act on it. Thirteen under Allaire. Four still alive, Forsworn by his departed mother. One, soon to be, under the child. Seth Belanger. Griffin Lytle, forsworn by Alexander, far worse off than I ever was, he’s in the deep woods, barely holding on to humanity. There are five more, and those are just the ones who’ve survived this long. Joel Richardson, Lenard Lily, Yiyun Jen, Josef Miller, Helen Kim.” - Excerpt from Wild Abandon 18.5</ref>
