Mala Fide 10.3 is the third chapter of Mala Fide. Faysal makes some very tempting offers. Blake, Mags, and Rose try to figure out how to deal with the Walkers.
Plot[edit]
A panic-stricken Mags explains to Blake what happened with Padraic and how Molly is threatening her role as the Ambassador. Blake agrees to help by watching Molly and the Goblins while Mags goes to collect salt for binding. The goblins start a snowball fight but are promptly interrupted by Aunt Irene and Callan. Oblivious to Molly's presence, the Walkers comment on their grief and how they need to push on for Sandra's plan. Molly follows them while Blake waits so he can inform Mags. He starts to give chase, but is promptly interrupted by a trio of Laiah. Failing to intimidate, Blake carves into them and would have killed one of them had Mags not intervened. She calls on Faysal to negotiate before she continues to chase after Molly. Faysal offers two deals, life or immortality, in exchange for Blake's servitude. He refuses, settling instead for safe passage, nourishment, and a favor. Blake leaps and finds himself at the Hillglades House. Rose is defending herself from Aunt Irene and Callan while Blake, Mags, and Molly watch helplessly. When the Walkers finally leave, Blake informs Rose of the Molly situation. Rose reluctantly agrees to let Blake handle it. As Blake and Mags establish a plan of action, Molly makes an unexpected spurt of awareness.
