Cutting Class 6.z is the tenth and final chapter, and first interlude, of Cutting Class. Ferdinanda has a uncomfortable talk with her brother, some time with her friends, and a scarring expereince in yhe headmasters office.
Plot
Chase Whitt talks to Fernanda Whitt, and she's deliberately trying to stay away, not let him get close, following her philosophy of being a manipulative, opportunistic bastard, in order to be able to make anything of herself. She and Laila make promises (or almost) to each other. Then scene in Alexander Belanger's office, where he gathers his apprentices and some witnesses (Raymond Sunshine, Marie Durocher, and their apprentices) to see who would defect to go with Lawrence Bristow. Nicolette, Tanner, and Chase Whitt do. Seth Belanger kind of does, but Alexander Belanger forswears him. Tensions in the school rise, and Alexander Belanger leaves.
