Inquisitor

Inquisitors are somewhat similar to Witch Hunters; humans who have not Awakened but nonetheless fight Practitioners.

However, unlike Witch Hunters they are not employed by Practitioners or Others and do not have the magical tools that such patrons can provide. Instead, they are organized by "outside parties" (presumably Innocent organizations), and use faith and Innocence as tools.<ref>I flipped through until I found it.  “‘Witch hunters are markedly different from inquisitors.  Where an inquisitor is organized by an outside party, the witch hunter is in the employ of practitioners or Others.  Oft used to guard a Lord’s power, maintain a balance or hunt down rogue parties.  Witch Hunters do not use faith or innocence as tools, but use gifts provided by those they serve, alongside the protections the uninitiated enjoy, as well as the ability to circumvent defenses that would ward off practitioners and Others.'”

• Rose Thorburn Senior encountered one on the staff of a school she attended in Montreal.<ref>I know the risk I’m taking.  I was just in Montreal.  I went to a school that had an Inquisitor on the staff. - excerpt from Interlude 6</ref> Fell later mentioned that he knew of a group of Inquisitors active there.<ref name=":0" />
