2.x (Pages: Famulus, Implementum, Demesnes) is the seventh chapter of Damages and the first interlude. This chapter is split into five sections, each providing details on an aspect of Pact's magic system.

Famulus: Chapter One

Acts as the preface and introduction for the book and the entire chapter. It provides a quick explanation for why the book was written, and a preview of what the following chapters are about.

Famulus: Case Study for Chapter Two

A reporter describes the apartment and appearances of Annabelle and her familiar, Tromos, Steed of Enyo. They talk about who they are, how they met, why they joined together, and if they have any regrets.

Implementum: Chapter Five

This chapter emphasizes the relationship between an implement and others. It splits this relation into three aspects: the Declarative, Authoritive, and Socia-Cultural. It also provides several examples of an implement.

Demenses: Chapter Nine

This chapter intermingles a blurb about Fionna claiming a demesne and the dangers a normal practitioner would face in maintaining a Demesne.

Famulus: Case Study for Chapter Two

A reporter describes the appearances and home of Lacey and Vic, They are asked who they are, how they met, why they joined together, and if they have any regrets.
