Finish Off 24.4 is the fifth chapter of Finish Off.
Plot[edit]
The first signs of Deborah Cloutier's storm arrive as Avery leads her group toward the tourist town closest to the Carmine Exile's encampment. With Liberty and the goblins handling scouting, several members of the party start to get tired of her antics. Liberty defends her approach to the Practice and gets in an argument with Theodora.
Avery checks in and goes over the plan. Mr. Black agrees to take point with the Aware and pose as upset residents when they enter town. Theodora stays behind to setup, and Liberty takes to the skies with her gremlin-made jetpack.
As the group enters town, the storm begins to start in earnest. The town appears to be empty, with no residents in sight. A group of tenants from Sargent Hall arrive and Avery connects with Pauline Dishman. After the two have a short conversation the two realize that they have been separated from the group and are at the edge of town, caught up in Pauline's ability.
