The chapter opens with the couple exploring historic burg, still lit by fire and gas. They've flown in from the new world and are still adjusting to the time difference.
They walk through the town having an impromptu picnic and discussing things like past relationships and life in general. Dee is somewhat hurt to find out that they're in the town that ben's former fiancée came from and for that fiancée breaking off on the engagement with him.
