Jeanine is a student and resident of Thunder Bay.

Personality

She is athletic and is part of the lacrosse team.<ref>“I’m supposed to bring you to lacrosse practice after school,” Jeanine told Avery.- Excerpt from Fall Out 14.4</ref> She's faster than most of her team mates despite often skipping practice.<ref>“I push all of Artrip’s buttons,” Jeanine confided in Avery.  “I skip practice a lot and I’m still faster than anyone who isn’t a senior.  Or you now, I guess.”

She is pushy and has a poor sense of other peoples boundaries.<ref>Which left Avery painfully frustrated.  Because yeah, she’d had those vibes.  Little red flags, where Jeanine was friendly but pushy, where it felt like the phrasing of sentences were off.  Or like… if someone called themselves a bitch proudly maybe that could be fine in a certain circumstance, but if it was repeated, in a bunch of variations?  Jeanine did that.

The name thing, even.  What good was a joke if the person it was aimed at wasn’t laughing?  It was just a bit annoying, when Avery was new and trying to make herself known.- Excerpt from Fall Out 14.4</ref> At times this crosses over into bullying.<ref>A big oversized, goofy dog that didn’t know how big it was, yes.  And a bit of a bully.  Whatever Oli said, some or a lot of that label was valid.- Excerpt from Fall Out 14.4</ref>

Relationships

Oli

Her brother they've presumably grown up together. He is highly protective of her. He's worried about how much she gets bullied and that he's unable to help her when things go wrong at the various clubs she attends.<ref>“I think she’s trying, but the thing is, this is just my take.  In everything else I can be there with her and back her up but in this stuff, it’s her and whoever she’s dating.  Her brother can’t come along on dates.  And as her brother I can’t do much when things go bad at the clubs and stuff.”

Avery

Is on the same sports team as the new girl. Jeanine flirted heavily with her<ref>“You should!  God, I want rub my face on that fabric until I’ve worn a hole through it.”- Excerpt from Fall Out 14.4</ref> and eventually asked her out on a date but Avery declined.<ref>A first date would be a better time to learn types and stuff, huh?  What do you say?  Dinner, tomorrow?” Jeanine asked.

“I’ve got a thing with my mom tomorrow.  We’re making dinner.- Excerpt from Fall Out 14.4</ref> Later Avery got angry at her for pretending to forget her name and calling her something else.<ref>“She’s- the name thing is annoying, it’s more, it’s- it’s gotta stop, or it’s going to ruin stuff.  I said no, I said stop, she didn’t, you didn’t, other people started doing it, it sucks.”- Excerpt from Fall Out 14.4</ref>

Snowdrop

She didn't respond well when Avery introduced her to a wild opossum.<ref>“Heyyy,” Avery cooed.  “Snowdrop, heyy, you there?”

Parents

Her mom is high permissive, allowing her to try alcohol and cannabis so long as she's their to supervise, even going so far as to buy her a sex toy.<ref>According to Jeanine, her mom was the type to say it was okay if Jeanine or Oli did pot, if she was there to supervise and make sure the pot came from somewhere reputable. They could drink, but only if she was there, and so on. She’d bought Jeanine a sex toy at the same time she’d given her the talk with her first tampons. The members of the team that had known Jeanine from middle school had joked about the toy, giving it nicknames.- Excerpt from Crossed with Silver 19.5</ref>

Appearance

She's large for her age with wavy brown hair and a triangular-shaped face. She wears a low cut sweater with a shirt beneath, jeans and sneakers.<ref>Oli was Jeanine’s brother.  Both of them were big for their age… or lying about their age and they’d been held back two or three years.  Both had similar wavy brown hair but very different general face shapes – Jeanine’s was triangular, Oli’s was square.  Oli was fit, in about the one percent of guys when it came to having muscles, while Jeanine was leaner.  Jeanine wore a low-cut sweater with a collared shirt underneath, jeans, and sneakers that looked like they’d endured a sandstorm.- Excerpt from Fall Out 14.4</ref>

Abilities

Innocent but a good athlete and, whether intentionally or not, is good at breaking up groups.

Before the Story

She ended up falling out with the other members of the GSA<ref>“I- I guess.  There was a GSA, like you talked about-”

“Idiots and vipers?” Jeanine asked.

“Uhhhh, no.”

“Because ours was, every last one of them.  We lasted only a little while, I tried to keep things alive, some of them thought I was bossy, I got booted, and then they fell apart.  Big surprise, right?”- Excerpt from Fall Out 14.4</ref> this resulted in a lot of drama and her losing several friendships.<ref>“I don’t know if I should even say this, but watch out for Jeanine?”

“Watch out as in…?”

“As in… a lot of hurt feelings and broken friendships left behind her.  Don’t tell her I said that.”

Bloody Days

She started hosting parties with members of her lacrosse team during which she spread rumors about Avery whilst she wasn't present, going so far as to insinuate that she was a prostitute.<ref>“You have money to travel hours on the bus without your parents. Nice clothes. You didn’t flinch when we were talking about pooling money for a trip with the lacrosse team in spring. And then you figure… strange old dude shows up in front of the school. You go off to talk to him. It paints a picture.”
