Kerry is the youngest member of the Kelly family.

Personality

Kerry is energetic, noisy and has a tendency to get into trouble. In other worlds arguably a typical six year old.

Relationship

Kinley Grey is Kerry's best friend, the two of them tend to bring out the worst in each other.

Chronology

Before the Story

Started sharing a room with Avery and Sheridan after Declan turned ten.<ref>Avery deposited her bags on her bunk. She rolled her shoulder where the strap had been digging into it, especially with Kerry hanging on, and she heaved out a sigh. The bunkbed was relatively new. Declan was ten, and her parents didn’t want a ten year old boy sharing a room with a six or thirteen year old girl, so they’d been sorted by gender instead. Avery’s bed had gone to Declan, she got the top bunk, and Kerry slept below her. Sheridan’s half of the room remained intact, on penalty of all the wrath a sixteen year old could bring down on one’s head. - Excerpt from Lost for Words 1.4</ref>

Story Start

Was making trouble for her sister as always.

Decided to stay in Kennet when their parents decided to split.<ref>“And they’ll be long distance.  They asked earlier, if we kids were to split up… who would want to go?”

“And?” Lucy asked.

“And Grumble would stay by default because he has to, and Dad would stay and Declan and Kerry would stay.  Sheridan and Rowan would go with my mom.  Rowan could follow after Laurie if she gets into school in Thunder Bay and Sheridan wants out of the small town.”- Excerpt from Dash to Pieces 11.3</ref>

Post Contest for the throne

She was given an award from her teachers for a story she wrote about a duck, she also drew a picture of it.<ref>“Here, see?  I got a class award for this.”

“That’s what the teacher said!  I had to write a story for class, that same day, and I made it a duck story to go with the picture.  Where did I put it?”

- Excerpt from Let Slip 20.c</ref> For Christmas Avery gave her a bunch of duck related things and made her story into a proper book with art by Verona and Peckersnot.<ref>He read through the booklet that Avery had given Kerry.  Avery’s package to Kerry had been a cool wooden puzzle box that Avery had showed Kerry the secret to, that had been stuffed with duck related things- some were silly or minor, like duck socks, duck stickers, and a duck-colored toque with a brim colored like the beak.  There’d been a duck plush, and that had looked like the big prize, until the box had been emptied, Avery had mentioned there was something else inside, and Kerry had gone for a flashlight.  She’d seen the cover of the book, which was flush with the sides of the box, and worked out how to get the box open and the book freed.

It was a kid’s book, taking Kerry’s story about ducks and adding illustrations throughout.  Avery had asked him for pictures of Kerry’s class photo and tips about who was a friend and who was an enemy, to supplement it throughout. - Excerpt from Let Slip 20.c</ref>
