Spell Notes #2<ref>Spell Notes #2</ref> is an extra material included in Pale, following the chapter Stolen Away 2.3.

This extra material contains two pages from Verona's spell book,<ref>Verona’s spellbook. Has compiled & tidy notes from her basic notebook. - Inventories</ref> followed by the contents of the Forest Ribbon Trail information packet that Miss gave to Avery.<ref name="miss-avery-gift">"[Your gift] is not so far away, but it is not something you can or should do tonight or tomorrow.”
She looked at her hand. There were papers there, like she’d been holding them all along.

Spell book[edit]
Two pages from Verona's spell book are displayed, continuing the notes that were begun in Notes on Practices #1. The following diagram components are illustrated and described:
- Runes for light and dark
- Degrees of emphasis
- Low end: simple white, red, or black shapes
- (Medium): nested shapes
- High end: shapes based on hexagrams: cosmic, sun/planets, the Seal of Solomon
- Imperative marks: planetary symbols which indicate when a diagram's effect should be triggered
- Referential marks: zodiac symbols which indicate the purpose or function of a diagram
Forest Ribbon Trail packet[edit]
The information packet that Miss gave to Avery<ref name="miss-avery-gift" /> is displayed in its entirety. The packet is written by Miss and addressed to Avery directly.
The information packet contains information about the Trail, laid out as follows:
- An overview of the Path
- Preparations: selection and binding of the boon companion
- The Ritual: instructions and advice
- Walking the Path: rules that must be followed on the Path, information about the five landmark items, and advice on the layout and inhabitants of the Path
- Dealing with the Wolf: advice for safely handling negotiations with the Wolf
- Gifts of the Forest Ribbon Trail: boons that can be gained from the Path, and how to gain them
- A Detour: how to take advantage of the detour that Miss discovered<ref>"I could hope to see some means of escaping, as I did when I first discovered the detour.”
