Avery walks the Forest Ribbon Trail, and encounters Snowdrop, her boon companion. After experiencing a series of harrowing trials, Avery reaches the end of the path, where she attempts to negotiate with the elderly wolf. The wolf physically and verbally abuses her, before Nicolette interrupts the ritual and removes Snowdrop from the Path, leaving Avery stranded without any guarantee of safety.
