Mala Fide 10.6 is the sixth chapter of Mala Fide. Blake crashes into a party of Jeremy's party crashers, and tries to buzzkill them into fleeing.
Plot[edit]
Blake quickly rushes off to warn Rose, but finds out there's no way through her barriers. Instead he turns away from the Hillglades House, returns to the Ambassador, and warns her of the Jacob's Bell Council. An ungodly explosion rocks the city, diffusing a horrid smell to all its spiritual denizens. Blake frantically returns to the Hillglades House to examine the group responsible for its damages. As the High Priest has his Maenads and Satyrs search the house, Blake waits for an opportune moment to strike. The mirror-dweller reaches through the glass and accidently slays a pet snake. In return, the furious Maenad proceeds to break and chase Blake's space all the way back to Jeremy.
Jeremy restrains his followers, and instead opens a conversation with Blake to threaten him. The Thorburn Bogeyman turns the tables by intimidating Jeremy's group with Demons. The High Priest tries to poke holes in Blake's statements, but only ends up allowing Blake to reinforce them. They continue their game of chicken by explaining the mindsets and challenges that surround being a Diabolist or a Priest. A suggestion by one of the Maenads ends their game and has Blake running. Unfortunately, Blake was unable to reseal Rose's barrier and stop Jeremy from entering her sanctuary.
