Matthew Attwell was a practitioner in the service of Conquest and the father of Malcolm Attwell.

Appearance

He was tall, pale blond, with round glasses and a tweed jacket.

Personality

Matthew came from a broken home, where his father constantly pushed and abused him in hopes of driving him away or having Matthew kill him so that he would not be bound to Conquest. Later in life he was compelled to try and prevent his own children from sharing the same faith and married an unfaithful wife while searching for answers to break his families bonds. Isadora was fond of him because he was clever.

History

After years of abuse at the hands of his father, Matthew took a gun and planned on shooting him after he got his hands on the books of magic, only to be bound by Conquest the moment he touched them.

Later in life he married an Enchantress who he knew to be unfaithful so that he would hopefully not have to do the same with his own children, but they were his. When given an order he didn't want to obey, he did it so recklessly it killed him.
