Relationships[edit]
Him and Seth get on well and often hang out together.<ref>“Because I don’t want Griffin either, and they get on like a house on fire.”
Nomi looked at Griffin and Seth together. About the same age.- Excerpt from Wild Abandon 18.5</ref>
Kira-Lynn dislikes him, thinks that he's creepy and refuses to meet with him alone.<ref>“I wanted to meet to discuss tonight, but you wanted to stick to email.”
...
She didn’t accept any one-on-one meetings with Griffin.
Seth was here, talking to Cameron, and Seth was Griffin’s friend. They were the same age, eighteen, and Kira-Lynn was very aware that Griffin seemed to want what Seth had with Cameron. She caught the looks, she caught the phrasings, she’d overheard things.- Excert from Let Slip 20.f</ref>
Abilities[edit]
He is a skilled spirit surgeon and has a number of techniques to help him and his patients.
- He can use the alcazar ritual as a diagnostic tool.<ref>“Third, Alcazar. Purely diagnostic, we turn the patient into a place that can be explored, to have direct eyes on specific areas and functions, with constant communication.”- Excerpt from Let Slip 20.f</ref>
- He's able to turn flesh into spirit and then break them down into layer and examine them spiritually.<ref>“One, first of all, I’m going to have the patient on the table, cross-sectioned spiritually. That means I’ll turn flesh to spirit, astrally represent her, then break down that projection into layers and components I can interact with. I can look from layer to layer, in varying levels of spiritual detail.” - Excerpt from Let Slip 20.f</ref>
- He can remove echos or wraiths from some one and sequester them away.<ref>“Two, second aspect, different angle. You’re part echo, spirit tools will struggle with those parts. So we project. Kira-Lynn? That’s your job. You’re my right hand woman.”
Kira-Lynn nodded.
“Project?” Lucy asked.
“It’s going to be messy at first. Sentiment, echo, scene, memory. Especially where it’s jumbled or concerning, I’ll mark it, my apprentice extracts it, and she’ll have to sequester it. I’ve marked out seven spots around the edges of the room.”
“It’s like solitaire,” Kira-Lynn explained. “Black three has to go under a red four. Except instead of cards we have living scenes and personifications. I’ve got seven cages, if I can put the right pieces together, then that can go in one cage. There’s other stuff, It doesn’t have to be in order if it’s similar, it’s… there’s a lot to it.”- Excerpt from Let Slip 20.f</ref>
- He can astrally project people and Others.<ref>The body vibrated and then separated. The astral body of the human Edith James separated from everything else, pushed as if she was a piece of paper and the wind had picked up.- Excerpt from Let Slip 20.f</ref>
- He has a collection of tools that allows him to manipulate the diagram he's working with and rearrange his work space.<ref>Griffin manipulated the diagram, using tools he had with him, and reoriented aspects. Magnifying, organizing…

Searching through the various aspects of Edith’s spirit that were displayed across the magic circles that floated in the air. Moving and re-angling those same circles to change the picture. Outer rims rotated, the picture zoomed in. Others changed their iconography as he held out something that looked like an astrolabe, finger adjusting the dials, and the nature of spirits that were most in focus changed.- Excerpt from Let Slip 20.f</ref>
Chronology[edit]
His father had started out by helping former Vietnam soldiers deal with PTSD.<ref>Griffin had told Kira-Lynn that his father had started out doing that. Treating people who’d fought during the Vietnam war. Finding memories that connected wrong in the tapestry of the Self, got too big, could get triggered too easily, hard to disassociate from.
Giving them peace.
It was how Griffin’s father had started out, so it was how he’d started Kira-Lynn out.- Excerpt from Let Slip 20.f</ref>
At some point he was forsworn by Alexander. Afterwards he struggled to hold on to his humanity<ref>Griffin Lytle, forsworn by Alexander, far worse off than I ever was, he’s in the deep woods, barely holding on to humanity.- Excerpt from Wild Abandon 18.5</ref> as one Other attempted to posses him whilst the another tried to transform him.<ref>Griffin is pretty far gone. One Other trying to possess him, another trying to transform him, a tug of war with what’s left of him in the middle.- Excerpt from Wild Abandon 18.5</ref>
He was present when the St. Victor's students attacked the practitioners investigating the Ordinary Family and during the raid on the Whitt household.
He performed spirit surgery on Edith using it as an opportunity to trap Avery and Julette as well as Nomi and Yiyun.<ref>“What was the plan, then? You drop shit on us, you force us to scramble.”
“I knew you could take care of yourself. But you went in willingly, it ended up being dangerous. I took no direct action to harm you. I even removed a threat.”
“You removed the Wraith who we could’ve forced to let us out.”
“And in the doing you would have let them out, and them getting out is a problem. I protected you, but I did so while keeping control over this situation here. I would have kept protecting you.”- Excerpt from Let Slip 20.z</ref>
