Solarisse Blaze Ferguson is an elementalist and resident at the Blue Heron Institute.

Relationships[edit]

Sol's mother talks down to and disparages him.<ref>“That was not the choice I wanted you to make, Sol baby.”

“It wasn’t the right answer,” Mrs. Durocher said, reclining on the stairs that led up to the left side of the stage.  “But it’s a right answer.”

“I hear you, Marie, and I disagree.  If you have a multiple choice question, you’ll only get the point if you pick the most correct answer.  There was another choice that was far more elegant, efficient, and economical, than using a hard-to-acquire wraith.”- Excerpt from Vanishing Points 8.4</ref>

Appearance[edit]

He's tall, with untidy blond hair, gelled at the front. He has half tattoos on his hands that form a diagram when placed together.<ref>But he was Lucy’s height, lanky, with superfine blond hair that looked a bit like it was always suffering from bedhead or light static.  He’d put some gel or something in it but he did that thing that guys did when they were first doing their hair and concentrated on the parts at the front that they saw when looking in the mirror, ignoring the back.  He was wearing a shirt with a stylized graffiti orange-on-black pattern on it, and had tattoos at his hands- a half circle on each hand, each filled with diagram stuff.- Excerpt from Vanishing Points 8.4</ref>

Abilities[edit]

He can create a large explosion by putting his tattooed palms together.<ref>Sol was an elementalist.  Jorja got about three words into the binding, got his last name wrong, and he pressed the sides of his hands together, closing a diagram he’d drawn or had tattooed on the palms.  The resulting explosion ripped up and scorched the grass without really touching the dirt, and flung Jorja back, blood streaming from her nose.  She crumpled to the ground.- Excerpt from Cutting Class 6.7</ref>

It's implied that he had a crush on Raquel.<ref>channel power or withstand a storm such as the one depicted now.  The human body.  You are a very pretty young lady, Raquel.  You seem to be in good health, fit.  Sol?”

Sol looked at his mother with that frozen poker face and those dead eyes.- Excerpt from Vanishing Points 8.4</ref>

Chronology[edit]

He Awakend and got his tattoos when he was ten<ref>Sol sighed.  “Yeahhhh.  I was ten, by the way.”- Excerpt from Vanishing Points 8.4</ref> and started learning about practice at the age of six.<ref> he had six years of lessons with his mom, awakening partway through those lessons at ten or whatever.- Excerpt from Vanishing Points 8.6</ref>

During the dueling class he fought against Jorja, blowing her out the arena. He did the same to Dom before being bound by Corbin.

His mother taught a class at the Blue Heron Institute and used Sol as an assistent, having him find a hallow for an elemental. He eventually succeeded in binding it inside the Wraith of Willie Koehn. Afterwards his mother had him attempt to guess the elemental affinity of Raquel Musser.<ref>- Vanishing Points 8.4</ref>

He was paired with Zed during the trip to the fea courts.<ref>“Zed?” Estrella asked.

“Can’t I supervise?”

“With Sol.”- Excerpt from Vanishing Points 8.6</ref>

Trivia[edit]

His name is based of ancient Greek.<ref>- "It's a Greek name, but the fact it works that way makes sense too." - Source</ref>
