Null 9.2 is the second chapter of Null.

Plot

Slowly, Blake remembers and pieces together all of Rose's inconsistencies throughout the story. Before he can do anything out of anger, Blake realizes that the Abyss is trying to grind him down. He steels himself mentally before continuing on his trek. Eventually Blake encounters a colony of damaged people. Initial impressions weren't the best from either side, but they quickly calmed down when Blake showed himself to not be a threat. Blake attempts to continue forward, but, much to his dismay, a woman forcefully pulls him away from the path that would awaken a monster. Another colony member agrees to lead Blake through the safe path over a ledge. They stop partway to peek at the sleeping monster, then continue the rest of the way. Once on 'safe' ground, the guide helps Blake by pointing in the direction of a Witch.

Blake decides he should get some sleep before continuing. Unfortunately, the Abyss uses this as an opportunity to show Blake a glimpse of the future he could have if he agreed to its philosophy. Blake refuses, realizing that it was merely a trap. He continues through the darkness, using his plank to feel out the bridge, when he suddenly hears splashes coming from near him. A shadowy being appears attempting to grapple Blake, but misses as Blake twists and falls out of the way. Alexis' sadness is heard, followed by the dark being grabbing Blake's wood and crushing it in half. Cold overtakes Blake's body except for the warmth coming from his assaulter. At last, Blake gets back up and fights back. Without his plank, Blake's progress is hobbled. As Blake makes his way to the end of the bridge, a familiar man await him. Completely disregarding his personal safety, Blake runs away as fast as possible with the familiar man trailing closely behind. Blake falls off, but manages to climb up another bridge. Having finally given up, Blake calls on the Lawyers for help but they refuse.
