Void 7.8 is the eighth chapter of Void. The eye of the storm before either sonething good or bad happens.

Plot

Blake takes a moment to appreciate the almost unreal tranquility his conquest of Conquest caused. Eventually reality catches up and reminds him of all the worries he has to focus on. As Evan recovers, he expresses interest in bathing in the blood of his enemies. The Thorburns politely discourage that idea before agreeing to move on to the next stage of their plan. With Rose gone, Evan takes the opportunity to talk with Blake about his past trauma. Despite Blake's uncomfortableness and repeated pleas to drop the subject, Evan tries his best to ease some of Blake's guilt and shame.

After Blake rejoins everyone at Conquest's partial binding, Maggie volunteers to finish the binding. The members of the Behaim Circle arrive to mourn the death of Laird. Blake succeeds in convincing them that he did try to stick to his promise of not killing Laird unless it was unavoidable. They leave to care for Duncan except for the youngest boy, who swears revenge and drops the fact that Laird used actual chronomancy to give his remaining lifespan to his kids. Blake returns to his allies, and is tasked to collect the Hyena blade. After Rose turns the Hyena corpse back into a weapon, Blake uses it help Maggie finish the binding.

Back at Blake's apartment, everyone is relaxing, cleaning up, eating pizza, or talking about videogames. A knock at the door introduces Paige and Isadora into the apartment.
