Peckersnot is the formally nameless goblin seen around kennet.

Relationships

Peckersnot is friends with Verona and he admires her explicit drawings.<ref>The picture was a particular, stand-out piece of a male, put to paper in as much glistening detail as her art skills allowed. She’d gone to some effort, detailing it, as if sufficient detail could bring it to life on the page or unlock some understanding.

“Does this satisfy our arrangement, booger guy?” she asked.

Description

Tiny cyclops with a beaker mouth and a magnificent set of nostrils. He does not posses the ability to talk.

Abilities

Able to fling snot at enemies, it's adhesiveness can restrain them.<ref>Willy reached up to his face, and his hand stuck where he tried to wipe the snot away. He used his other hand to try to free that hand, and ended up with both stuck in place. - Except from Back Away 5.d</ref>

His weapon form is a water pistol filled with slime.<ref>“I temporarily bind you, Peckersnot, until you wish to be free. Take your weapon form, little goblin,” Liberty said.

Peckersnot became a scratched up water pistol. Cherrypop kicked the scuffed plastic repeatedly until Liberty picked it up.

“Water pistol?” Nicolette asked.

“This isn’t water,” Liberty said. Cherrypop hugged her ankle. She investigated the gun, peering at it from different angles. “One shot, useful, can do a lot of things with slime. Let’s see those scales…” - Excerpt from [9.z Spoilers] Magic Item Identification</ref>

Chronology

He was attacked by Willydew and Bumcake, their fight was interrupted when Toadswallow arrived to forcibly recruit them and Peckersnot managed to kill Willydew by sealing his mouth and nose shut with snot and suffocating him.<ref>The little goblin crawled up Willy’s face again. He saw Willy pull lips apart enough to breathe, then snorted on that gap. Something in Willy shifted with that. One hand on Willy’s nose, one hand on Willy’s eyebrow, the little goblin made his face the entirety of Willy’s field of view.

He hocked and spat, right in the goblin’s eye.

Willy stared, making muffled, angry sounds, until he couldn’t stare anymore. He blinked, and his eye glued shut. Nose glued shut. Mouth glued shut.- Excerpt from Back Away 5.d</ref>

He was given his name by Verona a few weeks after arriving in Kennet.<ref>“I thought about Goobpecker, like woodpecker, but goob is too big a word, too deep, belongs to a bigger goblin. So… similar idea, but smaller. Peckersnot.” - Excerpt from Shaking Hands 9.8</ref>

Helped Tatty raid the house of a cat aware women and attempt to steal the collar of a cat they believed was a goblin killer<ref>“Gotta go. We’re raiding this cat lady’s house, she’s got so many cats. It’s awful! But one of their cats, it’s a goblin killer. You can see it in its eyes. Too much green. Three goblins, we think.”

“Haven’t there never been many goblins in Kennet?” Lucy asked.

He was present for the showdown with Maricica and managed to almost ensare her by sneezing on her<ref>Her attention divided, she almost didn’t see the goblins.

Peckersnot sneezed, and with the blood loss he’d suffered, he nearly fell from the high branch he’d climbed to.

But the snot extended out between himself and her, ensnaring her wings, binding her hair, and nearly blinding her.- Excerpt from Dash to Pieces 11.z</ref>, as a result he realised her plan but was unable to stop it.<ref>Peckersnot, his one eyeball scratched at the side, eye bloodshot, the pupil’s location mostly fixed due to his unwillingness to move his gaze around, was craning his head back and to the side so he could look slightly down and straight-on at her, his mouth pulled to the bottom corner of his face.
