</infobox> Wallace Davis is a student at Louis Riel Public School, and the friend/romantic partner of Lucy Ellingson.

Appearance/Description

Wallace has blonde-white hair<ref>She looked out for the boys she was more interested in, and saw Wallace around.  Hair so blond it was almost white, with that raglan top with the silver print on it, and skinny jeans.  He’d done good.  Guys had a low bar to meet, and he’d easily cleared it. - Excerpt from Leaving a Mark 4.2</ref> and tends to wear bright colours and patterned shirts.<ref>Wallace tended to lighten his hair and wear shirts with wild geometric or fractal patterns, prints, and/or colors. - excerpt from Dash to Pieces 11.2</ref> He is a gamer and a nerd.<ref>"Wallace was a gamer and a nerd." - Lost for Words 1.6</ref> Verona described him as "cool sometimes" but voted for him on Class_RankR out of pity.<ref>"I picked Jeremy and Wallace, because they seem like the kind of guys who wouldn’t get votes, and I like Jeremy’s drawings, and Wallace is cool sometimes.  They don’t deserve to get no votes.” - Lost for Words 1.1</ref>

Wallace was frequently excused from gym due to a degenerative nerve condition he inherited from his mother.<ref>"On the other half of the gym, the boys were playing.  Wallace was sitting out, which he did a lot of the time." - Lost for Words 1.7</ref><ref>“I wanted to ask,” Avery said. “What’s the deal with Wallace’s arm? He said his other was fragile too or something?”
“He lost the genetic lottery,” Jeremy said. “I don’t mean that in a mean way. He’s had to have surgery on the one elbow twice, because there’s something in how it’s put together that makes it dislocate really easy. Same problem with his shoulder, but that’s easier to fix. But he’s popped it in and out so many times it’s even easier to dislocate, so he’s gotta get surgery sometime in the next few years, to try to lock it in.”
“Shitty,” Avery said.
“He’s got other stuff too, right?” Verona asked. “A nerve thing?”
“Yeah. His mom’s got a thing that has her in a wheelchair half the time, and it looks like he’s probably going to get it. A nervous system thing. Passes out, gets seizures, cramps like a charlie horse except they don’t stop for hours.”
“He’s a cool guy, lives at the end of my street,” Verona said. “It’s obvious they’re a really nice family, he loves his mom, and they do this volunteer stuff, and travel for marathons. Wish it didn’t suck so much for him.” - Excerpt from Leaving a Mark 4.3</ref> He spent much of the Summer in the hospital and has surgery scheduled shortly after school starts up again.<ref>“Surgery scheduled for a couple weeks after school starts,” Wallace said.  “It’ll get in the way of everything.  I’ve had a bunch of MRIs and CAT scans this summer, I didn’t want to talk about it in front of those guys.  I didn’t want to talk about it in front of you, but…”

“I don’t mind.”

“It’s one of those things that get so big it takes over your life for a while.  No time to even watch that much or play that much, and then you ask what I’ve been doing this summer and I don’t know what to say.  Hospital stuff?” - Excerpt from False Moves 12.5</ref>

Chronology

At the end-of-school party, Wallace got Lucy three times out of five rounds of spin-the-bottle.<ref>"They’d got each other on three occasions across five different spins.  She’d had to check to see if Verona or Avery was messing with her.

Just luck, it seemed like. - excerpt from Leaving a Mark 4.3</ref> They kissed twice but were interrupted before the third kiss required by the game.<ref>“Chickening out?” Mia raised her voice.

“No.  There’s an emergency.  You guys can pick out a punishment game or whatever for me to do another time.  But my friend needs help.” - excerpt from Leaving a Mark 4.3</ref>

Later in the summer, after Lucy had returned from the Blue Heron Institute, she invited Wallace out on a date. Due to the fact that Lucy was grounded at the time, they went on a group date with their classmates Mai, Amedeus, Emerson and Xavier. After dinner and half of a very boring movie, Lucy and Wallace were able to get away for a long conversation, during which Wallace gave her the third kiss from the spin-the-bottle game.<ref>From False moves 12.5</ref>
