Back Away 5.1 is the third chapter of Back Away.
Plot
Lucy Ellingson and Verona Hayward encounter the goblins and Matthew and Edith. Avery Kelly shows up and tells about her interaction with Clementine and Daniel Alitzer. Avery goes to track Clem, Verona goes to track Sharon, Lucy to track Daniel. She encounters the girl, young woman, and old man, who interacted with Daniel earlier. She continues to the Faerie cave where she overhears some of the conversation and gets affected by Daniel's song. We see what happens after Daniel escapes the cave and John and Lucy chase him. Daniel can produce shrouded figures that conduct bad emotions to whoever touches them, even with swords/things. Daniel eats at Maricica's arm and she says this only gives her power over him. John Stiles holds a shrouded figure so Lucy can chase Daniel who is escaping. Lucy keeps thinking parallels between helping Daniel and helping Verona.
