Percival Awarnach is the truncated name of a summons created to challenge the Carmine Exile in the hope of distracting him.

Personality

Is more of a robot than a person; created for a specific task,<ref name="0">“We make a candidate.”

“Wrinkle, then,” Verona said. [...] “I don’t want to run into what we ran into with Julette.  If they have a brain or potential for a brain, and we’re expecting to put them into a role where they’re serving for life?”

“I kind of wasn’t expecting them to win,” Lucy said.  “Which lowers the bar, because I figure the contest requires some ability to show you can judge and do the job, and we don’t want that.  So we can keep them brainless… except for what is needed…”

“Still sketch,” Avery said.

“Yeah.  But no more than a fetch that hasn’t been given the chance to mature.”

“What’s the idea with it?” Verona asked.

“Charles has to respond and mind it.  And we can program it to set terms, and according to what I could find, digging through texts, the laws of Solomon require that anyone who wishes to challenge a Judge or Lord be able to be heard and be able to make their challenge.” - Excerpt from In Absentia 21.1</ref> having a set of behaviors programmed in to waste Charles' time. Relationships

He was lightly bitten by Snowdrop shortly after his creation.<ref name="1">I am he who was shortly into my creation, bitten by an opossum spirit, but did not die, brave as I am, though the bite was light, it remains a four minute skirmish, cheered on by my creators. - Excerpt from In Absentia 21.4</ref>

His existence severely annoyed Charles.

Appearance

He is knee high, made from solid spirit with googly eyes and an added dash of Snowdrop's opossum essence mixed in.<ref>A crude summoning stood before him, about knee high, solid spirit, with googly eyes and messy hair with some of the opossum spirit’s essence in it.- Excerpt from In Absentia 21.4</ref>

Abilities

While admittedly a low-tier summon he is perfectly positioned to challenge a Judge.<ref name="0"/> He has ninety nine titles and will take every excuse or opportunity to say them, starting again if he thinks your not listening.<ref>“Sir, I do not believe I have your full attention, which is my due and my right as a member of this constituency.  I will begin again.  My given name is Percival Awarnach of the ninety-nine titles, the first and foremost of which…”- Excerpt from In Absentia 21.4</ref>

He has an acorn for a brain, it has a symbol on it referring to the seven pages of paper that give him instructions.<ref>“They made his brain an acorn with a symbol on it, referring to seven pages of paper, writing on each side, giving him an internal map and instructions.  An acorn.”- Excerpt from In Absentia 21.4</ref>

Chronology

He was created at December 29, 2022 by Lucy Ellingson, Verona Hayward, Avery Kelly and Snowdrop.<ref>I am he who was crafted at two thirty nine on the twenty-ninth of December, twenty-twenty, by three sets of hands, with twelve sets of eyes in witness.- Excerpt from In Absentia 21.4</ref> from glamour and opossum hair.<ref>Glamour, a twist of opossum hair, and certain signatures of practice.- Excerpt from In Absentia 21.4</ref> His first action was to get into a tussle with Snowdrop.<ref name="1"/>

He challenged Carmine Exile to a tournament in order to consume as much time as possible.<ref>A tournament has been done before, more than once, including the time you took your seat, and I ask it be done again, and for it to take three days, so that we may call suitable opposition. - Excerpt from In Absentia 21.4</ref> But thanks to the facilitated intervention of Ridget Fallbranch this time was cut short, regardless the Mission was a success.<ref> - Excerpt from In Absentia 21.6</ref>

He bravely met his fate at the hand of Ridget Fallbranch who he mortally wounded,<ref name=":6">“Three times, I met champions of enemy forces. Three times, we had an exchange of blows. Three times, I slew my foe. If Percival is allowed his introductions… [...] …I’d ask to be allowed mine. A flash of steel, as you describe.”

Ridget the squirrel knight twitched violently as she crawled across snow.  Metal raked across the texture of the crust on the snow, like a metal tool dragged down a section of road, start, stop, start, stop, timed with her finding the strength to pull herself forward.

She bit into Percival’s acorn, long since scattered from the little spirit’s being, tearing it partially open, before she died.  Her little sword turned against Percival had started this event.  Her bite into the acorn marked the beginning of the end of it. - Excerpt from In Absentia 21.6</ref> but he occupied Charles for more then 12 hours.<ref>“This wire is sister to one in a clock I store my reserve of power in.
