Louise Bayer is a sickly Innocent living in the town of Kennet. She became aware after witnessing the death of The Carmine Beast. Her testimony proved improtant.

Personality

She is very generous. She is regretful of her life decisions and she makes sure that other people don't make her mistakes.

Melissa

Has also been in contact whilst trying to find out about the strange things that had been happening to her.<ref name=":0">“Yeah.  Huh.  She said I could phone and ask her if I had questions or come by if I wanted to sound her out about any of the weird stuff around town.  But she doesn’t know jack.  So instead it became about me complaining and she’ll listen even though she has way worse issues, apparently.  Want one?  Or are you going to rat me out to your Auntie Louise?”

“I’m nothing like a rat.”

“Cool.  Want one, then?”

“Sure.  Cool.”

Snowdrop took the offered cigarette.  Melissa reached over with the lighter.  Snowdrop let her light it, then held it away from her mouth, burning and making smoke that made her want to sneeze.

Description

Caucasian with dark hair, she is a bit squat and weathered from the outdoors.<ref>Louise Bayer was maybe Ms. Hardy’s age, but she didn’t wear makeup or dress up.  She sat on the porch, cigarette in one corner of her mouth, book in her lap.  Dark hair, slightly-weather worn skin that had darkened a shade in the sun, and a demeanor that made Avery think that she could be a ranch owner or something.  Like she spent a lot of years working hard.  Even if she wasn’t muscular or anything.  Just… tired. - Excerpt from Out on a Limb 3.9</ref>

She has multiple health problems, including diabetes and kidney problems including in her torso and joints.<ref>Endless health problems

She cries blood when ever she encounters anything related to Others or Practice, possibly related to Matthew modifying her memory as well as her involvement in the investigation of the Carmines death. The effect helps to keep her innocent.<ref>There was a bit of a murmur.  Louise frowned before sitting.  She had a faint line of blood by her lower eyelids.

“That’s a bit of a leap,” Melissa said.

Louise shrugged.  “I spent too long not focusing on stuff I should, let my health go.  It’s not that hard to turn that kind of thinking toward this stuff.”
