Blood Run Cold 0.0 is the first chapter of, and Prologue to, Pale.
Plot[edit]
Louise Bayer, initially believing herself to be hallucinating, follows the Carmine Beast into Kennet, before it seemingly disintegrates into blood. Louise's memory is wiped by Matthew. He and Edith imply that the death of the Carmine Beast was disastrous on an inconceivable level.
