</infobox> Slippery Nick is a dolphin who has tried to reach Clem after she wished for a dolphin to ride.
Personality[edit]
Slippery Nick appears to be friendly, and frequently approaches and interacts with swimmers and beachgoers. He has been known to bring people random objects, and to perform tricks and offer rides.<ref>Some have theorized Nick to be a trained and illegally kept dolphin kept somewhere inland, and this would explain his tricks, as he brings random objects to swimmers and beachgoers, gives rides, and does tricks, in between his persistent explorations. -- Kennet Newsletter</ref>
Chronology[edit]
On a family summer trip to the Bay of Biscay, Clementine Robertjon found an eye from a primal power of deep water, and was granted three wishes. One of the wishes she made was for a dolphin to ride.<ref>Summer 2009 in the Bay of Biscay – Clem dives and surfaces with a smooth, glasslike stone that turned out to be the eye of a primal power of deep water. She was afforded three wishes if she agreed to give it the stone. She wished for her best friend to be with her for the whole summer trip, for her family to have ‘thousands and thousands’ of dollars, and for a dolphin to ride. -- Dossiers</ref>
Slippery Nick made his first appearance around 2011.<ref>Slippery Nick has been around for at least nine years, on and off. -- Kennet Newsletter</ref> He was first spotted on the eastern Seaboard, and then migrated up the St. Lawrence Seaway to Lake Superior.<ref>Slippery Nick first made his appearance on the eastern Seaboard, but has since migrated to the great lakes and rivers, prompting surprised calls from boaters and people by the lakeside who did not expect to see a bottlenose dolphin so far inland. -- Kennet Newsletter</ref> He was given the name "Slippery Nick" by an Internet contest (which actually put forward the name "Slippery Dick").<ref>Named by an internet contest, with one letter changed -- Kennet Newsletter</ref>
When Clementine visited Kennet in the summer of 2020, Slippery Nick appeared at the mouth of the Kennet River, but was stranded before he could travel up the river. He was rescued by boaters, and then disappeared into Lake Superior.<ref>Slippery Nick has joined us once again, this time making efforts to enter the mouth of the Kennet River before getting stranded. Boaters did what they could to round him up and secure him for the custody of the Ontario Wildlife authority, but he escaped them and returned to Lake Superior, where he soon slipped out of sight. True to his name. -- Kennet Newsletter</ref>
