Finnea of the Thistle Tay is a fae from the court of Dark Fall and a rival to Maricica.

Personality

As canny aa any fae and prejudiced against goblins.

Finnea has a feud with Maricica and intends to strip her of her power and possesions and destroy her.<ref>“I inferred that Maricica might be such, but in practice, I worked against her.  In communicating with you, I told you that you were letting the real culprit escape.  I am no friend of Maricica, and I suspect she suspects that.  In taking this job, it was and is my full and unerring intention to strip power and possession from Maricica, to destroy her and improve my own station as a consequence.  That may occur over days, weeks, months, years, decades, or centuries, but in any timescale, I am no ally to her.”- Excerpt from False Moves 12.1</ref> Dispite this she made a deal with Maricica for her to support Cig and Lis and protect them from abuse and binding.<ref>“Maricica and I made a deal that I was here to support and enable Lis and Cig, it was implied they would be the target of unfair scrutiny, predation, abuse, and binding from the three local practitioners.  My role in any conspiracy is incidental, and all I know of that conspiracy or the Carmine events is what I’ve been able to infer.” - Excerpt from False Moves 12.1</ref>

Appearance

Her preferred form has pale hair and purple eyes with dark specks in them and wears a dress made of long thorny vines and purple fabric.<ref>“You tried and faltered,” the Faerie said.  She had abandoned the guise of Maricica.  She was pale-haired with purple eyes that were filled with dark specks, like the inverse of a night’s sky, with a dress consisting of a thorny vine spiraling down her body, leaving one leg exposed, with purple fabric stretched between the vine.  In moonlight she was pretty, like an actress.  In the dark, her cheekbones slanted in at diagonals, her eyes were slashes in her face, and her lips thin, the corners of her mouth a little too extended, like her face could hinge open to swallow something whole.- Excerpt from False Moves 12.1</ref>

Abilities

She has Claim over Maricica's identity. <ref>“To have claim over Maricica’s identity itself, while leading her to believe I was on her side, my intentions just the opposite.  And because I inferred it was the best way to draw attention from Lis and Cig.”- Excerpt from False Moves 12.1</ref>

She's able to create Goblin repelling flowers out of glamour.<ref>Finnea paused, seeming to think hard about something, then touched the locket at her neck, opening it.

Glamour came out as an expanding purple-black mist, and small purple flowers began to form on the ground where the glamour touched grass and dirt.  Flowers sprouted between the bricks of the court floor where bricks of marble and other materials had been inset into the dirt in intricate pattern.

Smaller goblins protested, and held their noses, running from the flowers.

Chronology

When the trio confronted Maricica Finnea secretly took her place and pretended to be her using glamour resulting in Lucy, Avery and Verona challenging her to a trial instead. She appealed against the fairness of their trial and the Aurum allowed her to put them on trial instead. Her plan was to auction the trio off in the Ailheim market if she succeeded<ref>Crimes that, if asserted in full by the prosecuting Fae, would warrant the sale of one and three quarter humans of fifteen years or younger in one of the Dark Fall Markets, by auction.  It seems the Ailheim market has vacancies on the docket. - Excerpt from False Moves 12.1</ref> but due to the choas and disruption she eventually relented.
