Break 4 is the fourth chapter of Break.
Plot[edit]
The Witch Hunters enter Kennet Arena.
We learn the back story of Lucas Olson, the man trapped inside Cagerattler. He and his wife adopted 3 troubled children then conceived a fourth named Cole. Cole is a trouble maker, often getting excluded from school. Things reach a head when he injures another girl in his class and goes to jail, upon his release he becomes tougher and meaner. He gets into a fight with a neighbor and is shot when Lucas goes after him Cole and a practitioner friend send him down into the abyss.
Cagerattler begins the pull up Living Objects from the abyss and Bogeymen to accompany them then proceeds to fight the witch hunters.
Where told that Olson is a pearl of the abyss, his own purity and consistency has allowed his to resist the abysses corruption, nothing the abyss can do to him can be worse that what he dose to himself. This allows him to be used as a power source.
Lucas asks for the right to be tested, he and Cagerattler are placed on the throne as a young girl turned into a bogeyman attacks them. Lucas raises to help and argues with Cagerattler over if it's right to attack the girl but is told he's failed the test.
