'''{{PAGENAME}}''' is the ninth chapter of [[Summer Break (arc)|Summer Break]]. [[Avery]] negotiate with the Garricks with the help of [[Zed]] and [[Nicolette]], largely successful the trio heads off to Raquel to try and makes friends. Juggling multiple balls means they inevitably miss something, the [[Blue Heron Institute]] is in trouble.

==Plot==
The chapter opens mid negotiation with prominent Garrick members for information about [[The Station Promenade]]. 

In order for the Garricks to learn whether the information Avery is selling them is any good they agree to have one of their members ([[Clay Garrick]]) be told the details but promise to to communicate them to the rest of the family. [[Nicolette Belanger|Nicolette]] sets the terms for this agreement. 

The Garricks call a break to discuss things and Avery steps away to talk to [[Miss]] about things, Miss says for her half of the payment she would want any bound Others they have set free. The Garricks say that there are some [[Lost]] they bound a few decades ago that they would be happy to get go.

They agree to give Avery five magic items left behind by [[Poppy]], a member of their family that died of leukaemia, as well as forty books worth 25,000 and another twenty thousand in cash. Items that are delivered quickly are worth double.

Nicolette steps in the wrap things up.

An unknown amount of time later the trio is together again working on releasing [[Freak and Squeak]] a dividual [[Lost]] with two very different bodies while at the same time being the same being, Freak is a cute but violent child and Squeak is an adorable but clumsy monster. They hammer out an agreement for them to behave and to stop beating itself up and then they head off, meeting up with the goblins as they walk.

They reach out to [[Raquel Musser|Raquel]] and though nothing works they do form something of a friendship. They learn that [[Reid Musser|Reid]] is the one [[Abraham Musser|Abraham]] has chosen to participate for the contest for the Carmines seat, leaving Raquel to guard the cabin.

[[Rabbit Killer]] attacks Freak but fails to capture her in his shadows.

The trio have the goblins shout their support for them, tricking them into revealing which of them are working for Edith, Maricica and Charles. Due to his silence they confirm that [[Bluntmunch]] isn't on their side.

They talk to [[Gashwad]] and confirm that [[Edith James|Edith]] approached him and asked him to work with her but he refused.

Avery call in [[Nicolette Belanger|Niccolette]] and learns that something is happening at the [[BHI|Blue Heron Institute]].
