==Plot==
Back at [[Blake Thorburn|Blake's]] apartment, our protagonists attempt to brainstorm the next move in their plan. [[Blake]] complains about the mess his contest with [[Conquest]] has been, especially since he was hoping Conquest would stick to his promise of not targeting the city. [[Fell]] rebuts Blake by saying it's actually Conquest's champions that is harming the city, not Conquest, plus that by being Lord, the city would've been in state of war from Conquest's passive influence. Blake feels bad. Everyone else would rather Blake didn't feel so badly about his actions. Fell goes off to set up protections. 

Blake turns his attention to [[Maggie]] who has her attention on Blake's art. He questions Maggie on how she managed to leave [[Jacob's Bell]], to which she replies "if I explain now, it will inconvenience you." He also asks if she's planning anything nefarious, to which she essentially replies no, she just finds it more interesting than going to high school. Blake comments that he needs to go back to the police station and that he might run into [[Laird Behaim]] there. Fell adds that the [[Diana Thompson|Astrologer]] might be there as well, along with her creations. Fell finishes the protections, then gets ready to check on [[Attwell Family|his family]]. As he is leaving, Fell admits the best way to prolong the contest is for him to kill Blake and hide his soul from Conquest.

That night, Blake has a dream his body is horribly disfigured from all the injuries he has sustained and Rose is surrounded by her army of summons. When he wakes up, [[Rose]] and [[Evan]] try to comfort him. Evan tries and fails to give him a hug. As Blake gets ready for the day, he asks Rose to be wary of Maggie because she is being suspicious.

Later that day, the group is out and about collecting resources. [[Alexis]], [[Tyler]], and [[Tiffany]] are helping Rose summon some [[Other]]s. Maggie and Fell are capturing [[goblin]]s. [[Isadora]] appears unexpectedly outside to talk with Blake. She tells him two things; first that she will try to attack him tomorrow, and second that ''when'' he dies, he will be replaced by Rose.
