'''{{PAGENAME}}''' is the ninth chapter of [[Stolen Away]]. Avery walks the Trail with a mendacious guide, her intuition is tested only to have the rug pulled out from under her by unseen enemies.

[[Avery]] walks the [[Forest Ribbon Trail]], and encounters [[Snowdrop|her guide]]. After a few false starts Avery decides to name her Snowdrop.
 
Snowdrop keeps giving bad advice from Avery's perspective.

The Opossum by the Wayside is tempting but unsuccessful in swaying Avery, who figures out Snowdrops trick. The false Opposum does warn that there is someone on the path who's not meant to be there as a large doll's head looks on.

After this series of harrowing trials, Avery reaches the end of the path, where she attempts to negotiate with the elderly wolf. The wolf physically and verbally abuses her, before [[Nicolette]] interrupts the ritual and removes Snowdrop from the [[Path]], leaving Avery stranded without any guarantee of safety.
