While Molly and Mags hash things out, Blake carries on with other tasks, such as rescuing Green Eyes and spying on enemies. 
==Plot==
Not wanting to disturb [[Mags]], the Thorburn Bogeyman travels to a cold, desolate lake. He enjoys a few peaceful moments to himself before [[Faysal Anwar|Faysal]] arrives and interrupts him. Blake questions the [[Angel]] about his motives and learns a great deal about the relationship between Angels, Demons, and Humans. Satisfied with Blake's efforts, Faysal turns to depart and leaves behind a portal of pipes. Our protagonist drops it into the ice where [[Green Eyes]] briskly emerges. He makes sure the mermaid is happy and comfortable with her newfound freedom before leaving.

By remembering the location of [[Laird Behaim|Laird's]] home, Blake was able to shadow two other Behaims into their car. The two unwittingly reveal a bunch of information before they finally realize the hitchhiker in their mirror. [[Ben Behaim|Ben]] tries to save face with intimidation and [[Chronomancy]] but fails when he finds out Blake is responsible for Laird's death. Seizing the opportunity, the Thorburn Bogeyman explains what he wants and tries to sway their judgement. Blake finishes his spiel and leaves to look for the Duchamps.

While searching, Blake ponders for a bit about various things such as his lost [[Practitioner]] abilities, his victories, and the beings he sees along the way. He eventually finds [[Sandra]] and [[Jeremy]] on a walk, who unwittingly reveal their plan. The two split off to carry out their plan, and Blake is left to choose who to go after.
