==Plot==
[[Verona Hayward|Verona]] declarers her reasons she wants a [[Lost Kennet]].

The [[Sable Prince]] appears before her and tells her that because she made an [[Oath]] she’ll be [[forsworn]] if she fails. He gives her a chance to back out if it and tells her she’ll have to answer two challenges, one to create the space and another to claim it as her own.

The [[Alabaster Doe]] says her challenger is here and the [[The Milkmaid|Milkmaid]] walks in. She goes on to say that her name is Clara, that she’s a copy and that she’s meant to illustrate something.

Clara attacks her, she pushes her and Verona she falls into a cellar full of corpse and sharpened farm equipment. She hides and the [[The Milkmaid|Milkmaid]] walks down dragging another victim. She opens the door to a trapped cabinet and a bear trap flies out hitting the Milkmaid followed by a harpoon.

They leave the house together and head to the barn, finding it full of people turned into cows. Verona also notices her [[alchemy]] supplies are here as well. The victim tires to pull a lever for the electricity and gets electrocuted.

The milkmaid arrives along with [[Sir Toadswallow|Toadswallow]], Verona throws a vial at her and sets her on fire.

The scene moves and she finds herself with [[Peckersnot]] murdering [[Willydew]], then Chloe attack Lucy, next [[John Stiles|John]] shooting some unknown person. She sees [[Matthew Moss|Matthew]] murdering elderly people at a hospital. Next is a scene of [[Crooked Rook|Rook]] and her fellow [[Oni]] arguing with a survivor after killing all the adults in a village and taking their food. After that is a scene where [[Lis]] is watching as a school girl pushes another girl down the stairs.

The [[Alabaster Doe]] challenges her to say how she’ll respond to darkness and violence in Kennet yet to be. Verona answers that she doesn’t want to fight the darkness or embrace it but to understand it, unravel it, redirect it and fix it.

The [[Aurum in Gold]] appears and says for the second challenge they’re going to ask her a question about the house.

[[Brett Hayward|Brett]] arrives at the house, complains about her and asks her “what makes you think you can take care of the house”. She accuses her of not being able to commit to anything, including [[Lucy Ellingson|Lucy]] and [[Avery Kelly|Avery]]. Of not being able to commit to [[Jeremy Clifford|Jeremy]] and threatening that her [[Sylvia Hayward|mom]] will abandon her again.

He goes on to complain about her not having good looking cloths. She responds by says she got injured, created art and brought new clothes, repaired friendships.

She tells [[Brett Hayward|Brett]] that it can stop wearing her dads face and he turns out to be the [[Echo|echos]] of the previous owners of the house. She dissolves the echos and Lucy reappears.

[[Tashlit]] arrives, doesn’t contest and gives her her dads fishing hook.

Next are [[Chloe]] and [[Nibble]], neither of them contest her claim and Chloe offer a coupon to clean, tidy and organise the house. Nibble gives her a magical cursed car antenna that narrows vision till you only see murder and death scenes.

[[Reggie]], [[Cig]] and [[Montague]] arrive and say no contest. Next up is [[Miss]] followed by [[Guilherme]], neither of who contest her claim.

Next up are the goblins, [[Cherrypop]], [[Snatchragged|Nat]], [[Jabber]], [[Tatty Bo Jangles|Tatty]], [[Sir Toadswallow|Toadswallow]], [[Kittycough]], [[Ramjam]] and all the rest of them. None of them contests her claim and [[Biscuit]] gives her some tequila with bugs in it, [[Peckersnot]] gives her a picture.

She challenges toad about his history with the Milkmaid and getting [[Peckersnot]] to kill [[Willydew]], she says he should step down as council leader. Toad offers them a 10% discount at his market.

Where told that [[Crooked Rook|Rook]] is out of town.

[[America Tedd|Anthem Tedd]] walks in and asks if Avery’s here, Verona phones [[Avery Kelly|Avery]] and Anthem asks her why his daughter left Aaery's house in tears. Avery contact [[Zed Sadler|Zed]] who gets [[America Tedd|America]] to rings Anthem and tells him to let it go.

The final challenger are [[Lucy Ellingson|Lucy]] and [[Avery Kelly|Avery]], neither of them contest her claim, Verona offers them to share her demesne.

The house becomes her [[Demesne]].

As they leave they pass [[Anthem Tedd]], he tells them [[Abraham Musser|Musser]] has taken [[Toronto]] and nearly half the remaining territories have surrendered.
