Hei s the size of a small child, has skin the appearance of lightly burned wood and silky hair. His eyes aren't in his sockets but instead watch the area from some unknown location.<ref>He was Kerry’s size, which made him a giant compared to a lot of the locals.  He had skin that looked like fire-kissed wood, and hair so straight and silky it looked like corn silk.  Smaller fairies brushed his hair with a pair of combs, one very nice looking, the other old and battered, missing teeth.  His eyes weren’t in the sockets, but she knew he could see quite keenly.
