== Plot ==
[[Maricica]] continues to deny the allegations against her, she and the practitioners argue together but make little progress. Maricica accuses [[Miss]] and [[Crooked Rook]] of wanting to eliminate every practitioner in the region.

[[Flopsy]] brings Liberty her rubber chicken with a can stuff into it and Liberty uses the load noise it produces to interrupt proceedings. Avery grabs first [[doglick]] then [[Tatty Jo Jangles|tatty]] and uses them as weapons.

We cut to the faerie [[Maricica|Mriscca]] coming to life, being created out of moonlight and rain water in the court of Dark Fall, then we see her wake up another fae that manifested next to her. We meet her young fae brothers and sisters that she was born with, see as they explore the world around them and learn how to communicate with each other. We see the eight of them learn how to be cruel to each other and how to love each other.

They are eventually told they will have to present themselves “when the bell tolls” this ends the peace they had known up until then.

They see a procession of great stages carried by slaves with dancers on top which endlessly travels around the walled garden.

They go to introduce themselves to the Consort of the King, apon meeting with her Maricica realise they’ve been betrayed and that they don’t know enough about fea society to survive, the consort mercilessly destroys them for every error they make.

* Briserban is told he’s being too talkative and is rendered down to nothing except his tongue, Maricica watches helplessly as her brother is tortured in front of her.
* Paisleth is told his name is wrong and as a result is not allowed to be fea, he’s has to eat blightcrawlers that knit him a new body and is given a new name
* Siosal is told they didn’t speak enough, her tongue is taken and she’s forced to live the rest of her existence inside the walled garden forbidden from making any sound.

Mriscca steps forward and stabs Mriwthe, announcing herself as [[Maricica]] as she does so. It is revealed that Mriwthe was a spy and by attacking her she has pleased the Consort enough to be speared, they are told to leave and come back in a week and given the instructions to not bore her. As Maricica leaves she see Briserban’s tongue get thrown away.

As the years past they meet regularly with the Consort, each time their given an increasingly harder task to perform and a longer time period to do it in.

Maricica is seen cursing the last two members of her cohort, Eshire and Ottilia are together submerged into their own shadows so that only one of them can surface whilst the other one drowned. Neither of them would ever be strong enough to stay up permanently. The consort tell Maricica that she’ll meet her in a hundred years and to "surprise her", she’s told that if she succeeds she’ll be free of her.

The flash back finishes with Maricica thinking to herself that she no long wants to be a fae.

Avery hits the tree with the pickaxe they got from the transit camp and it turns to water. [[Verona Hayward|Verona]] swallows a spirit and uses the elongated arms it gives her to go after Lis. Lucy attempts to put a minor curse on Lis to addle her senses but she manages to dodge it.

Liberty and [[Avery Kelly|Avery]] throw down smoke pellets and transform.

[[Lis]] attempts to disguise herself as Avery but snowdrop tackles her.

Lucy challenges [[Maricica]] to say if she has bleed, sweated and cried in defence of Kennet, the faerie replies that she can not.

Lucy succeeds on attaching a piece of paper with a curse on it to Lis’s head, disabling her. The curse stone is under the paper and Maricica takes it.

[[Goblin|Goblins]] bungee jump from above using condoms, Avery follows suit and uses Lucy’s arena to trap her target.

It’s revealed that Maricica has disguised herself using glamour and that another faerie had taken her place. She has also taken the discarded glamour of Kell that Avery was wearing.

[[Peckersnot]] and [[Cherrypop]] attempt to assault Maricica and Maricica manages to trick Cherrypop into taking the [[Curse|cursed]] cube.

Maricica sheds her glamour to get the snot off of her and [[Peckersnot]] realises it’s actually Maricica.

[[Charles Abrams|Charles]] and [[Maricica]] are talking and he’s asking her why she doesn’t want to be the [[Carmine Beast|Carmine]], she replies that the role is dreary. To herself she thinks that she wants to cease being a fae, cease being Maricica but retain her power.

[[Edith James|Edith]] and [[Charles Abrams|Charles]] agree to let her help.

The Aurum ask if they’ve decided to challenge “this fae” and Avery replies yes. They ask for a trail to decide her guilt and the false Maricica wanting [[Cig]] and [[Lis]] to go free if she wins. The faerie challenges the fairness of the contest and asks to put the trio on trail instead.<!--
