'''{{PAGENAME}}''' is the seventh chapter of [[Dash to Pieces]]. Lucy goes through a typically convoluted training exercise with Guilherme, after hitting the showers she meets up with [[Wallace Davis|Wallace]] and schedules a date, later heads over to Rook's place to for Tea and <s>Sympathy</s> Talk.
==Plot==
[[Lucy]] and [[Guilherme]] are training together, he appears unimpressed with her progress and threatens to cut her ponytail if she lets him get in a position where he can harm her three times. She succeeds but carries a grudge about the threat to her coiffure for a while.

It turns out the area they're training in is a knotted place and is covered in blood in Lucy's sight. After a close inspection of the area she eventually realizes there is [[Immure|a monster]] nesting above her, it turns out it is a divine creature that has fused with spirits and elementals. Lucy starts trying to cut them free after the thing refuses to bargain but just as guil is going to look for an opening to deal with the monster [[Gashwad]] swoops in and steals the kill, ruining Guilherme’s lesson.

Guilherme tell Lucy that Crooked Rook is now willing to meet with her and the other girls, unbeknownst to Guil he was manipulated into asking Rook to give the trio more time on his behalf. This probably gives Rook some favor over Guil.

Lucy runs into [[Wallace Davis|Wallace]] and the two of them talk, catching up on what happened over the summer so far. Remembering the [[Impulse Wraith King|pink wheel wraith]] Lucy ends up asking Wallace out  for ice cream, a date. He accepts and lucy heads off, [[Wallace Davis|Wallace]] gets a congrats from his dad which helps Lucy's self worth.

Lucy meets up with Avery, Snowdrop and [[Reggie]] Verona appears later having traveled through city magic, much to Lucy's chagrin. Reggie leads them to where [[Crooked Rook]] is staying, the trio talk about their various romantic interests as they walk.

After arriving at Rooks hideout, lucy sees [[Bridge]] being held in one of Rooks bird cages, they are greeted coldly by Rook. The Oni keeps her regular anti-practitioner attitude up for entirety of the time Reggie is there. Once he goes to train with Lis Rook becomes much more cordial.

They [[Hospitality|break bread]] with her and talk about the carmine conspiracy, [[Crooked Rook|Rook]] explains that the current situation is intentionally constructed. A vacuum was created in Kennet with the spirits and other immaterial things pushed to the border. Echoes and other things that were able to pass through the barrier were either destroyed or tossed back out. This was all to create a territory around kennet; ideal for the creation of [[Wraith]]s that would naturally flow in when Edith's removal from leadership meant the deals that kept immaterial things out came apart.

Rook opens up about her cynical world view, she assumes that the trio will fail to stop the conspirators and Rook focuses on containing the consequences on an abstract and individual level.

They all eventually conclude that they can't deal with [[Maricica]] the same way they did with [[Edith James|Edith]]. So Verona suggests upending the table in a way; getting [[Liberty Tedd|Liberty]] to raid Kennet with a hoard of goblins and take mar.
