}}'''{{PAGENAME}}''' is the eighth chapter of [[Collateral]]. Blake brutally battles bloodthirsty beasts before bedtime.
==Plot==
Blake slowly grabs the [[Black Lamb's Blood]], and then quickly throws himself backwards onto the table. Cats and dogs pounce after him, forcing him off. In the process, he gets stabbed by Mr. Bowght then pinned by a dog. Rodents use the opportunity to strike. Blake punches his way free of the dogpile, then damages Mr. Bowght's hands. The animals turn on the their feeder. Blake tries to open the sliding door, but it just tilts. Feeling frustrated and cornered, Blake goes all out offensive and starts swinging [[June Burlison|June]] into the masses. However the animals are too many and too hardy, and quickly grind Blake down. The fighting slows to a stop as everyone falls under the influence of June's hopelessness. Blake uses the pause to formulate a plan. He calls [[Fell]]'s name, then shatters his jar of [[Glamour Ink]] onto the floor. Blake applies the [[Blood magic|Blood]]-infused [[Glamour]] across his neck, thereby granting him access to the ''Thorburn'' voice.

June is called out of the [[Frost Hatchet]] and empowered with the Glamour. Blake talks her into casting a hibernation aura. While making their way out, Blake convinces the nearly dead Mr. Dowght into following him. Outside, a flesh-eating deer comes charging at them. Blake blocks the attack using the book then kills it with his hatchet.  Fell finally arrives. He agrees to help Mr. Dowght and transport Blake back to [[Conquest]]

Once they're back in Conquest's domain. Blake apologizes for his sloppiness. He requests info about the [[Hyena]] and the condition of [[Rose]]. Rose is confirmed unconscious. Blake leaves to prepare for his next mission.
