}}'''{{PAGENAME}}''' is the fourth chapter of [[Collateral]]. Blake and Rose get geared up. Fell briefs them on their missions. Pauz makes life difficult.
==Plot==
[[Blake]] is mentally complaining about having to wear cargo pants, mostly due to it being out of style and not holding [[June Burlison|June]] that well. [[Rose Thorburn Junior|Rose]] asks if he's okay, and he responds with a worry that the [[Faerie Hair|faerie hair]] might take possession over him. Blake grinds a bit of the hair into [[Glamour Ink|glamour ink]], and improvises some nails and two belts as a holster. Rose explains what motes are and what their most likely goal is. [[Joel]] comes to check up on Blake again, making sure he hasn't gone insane.

[[Fell]] comes to give Blake more info on their missions. We learn that the [[mote]] has taken over a human and is driving the animals insane, a minor abstract demon has erased most of the [[Knights of the Basement|Knights]], and the [[Hyena]] is torturing everyone who enters his forest. Annoyed that the [[Lord]] of [[Toronto]] won't give him more resources, Blake proceeds to insult Conquest and Fell. Fell gets angry, but ultimately agrees to go ask for resources. Blake and Rose agree to investigate the imp's situation first. Along the way to the subway, Blake suspects one of the birds to be a spy from [[Jacob's Bell|Jacob's Bell.]]

Upon arriving at Mr. Meath's neighborhood, Blake quickly notices there is something wrong. Some nervous women explain the situation. Blake leaves to confront the imp, but is distracted by the vicious animals. Having trapped himself in a circle, Rose uses the Thorburn voice to summon [[Pauz]].
