}}'''{{PAGENAME}}''' is the third chapter of [[Collateral]]. Blake and Rose surrender to Conquest, and place themselves in his service. They are bad servants.
==Plot==
[[Blake]] tries to not freak out when [[Rose]] suddenly hugs him. [[Conquest]] orders [[Fell]] to escort [[Jeremy Meath|Jeremy]] out. Before they leave, Jeremy asks Conquest to keep Blake in the city, to which he agrees. Blake tries to free himself from Rose's grasp, while Conquest transforms himself and his home into their true selves. Conquest explains why he is going to give the Thorburns a moment to talk. Blake explains to Rose the predicament they're in. Rose uses [[June Burlison|June]] to test a theory.

Conquest returns, ready to grill them for information on how to summon [[Demon]]s. Blake and Rose attempt to delay him as long as possible, going back and forth on why they need access to the [[Hillglades House]]. Conquest grows tired of the stalling, and threatens to torture them. Panicking at the thought, Blake insults Conquest. Rose is caged for his impertinence. She begins to tell him 'everything', finally convincing him they do need access to the house. Using the time Rose bought, Blake figures out Conquest is far weaker and desperate than he appears. He abuses that information to offer Conquest three favors in exchange for not being tortured and access to the house. Conquest agrees; requesting his three favors be used to bind a demonic [[mote]], a uber-[[goblin]], and a weak abstract demon in three days. They accept. To ensure they follow through, Conquest shackles Rose to himself. Blake and Rose are allowed to leave to go do their quests.
