He can inhabit an object and alter it to better reflect his nature, he used this ability to make the tree branch Avery was using as a weapon sharper and more deadly. He can do something similar to people to make them stronger.<ref>The wraith’s essence moved into the stick, and it became like his shrine was, jagged edges, branches falling away to leave just spike-shaped juts, and a wrapping of barbed wire.<br><br>But he wasn’t all spirit and the ability to easily take up residence in hallows was mostly a spirit thing.
