[[Nicolette Belanger|Nicolette]] did errands for him whilst she worked for Alexander, he taught her a ritual to help her improve her sense of direction.<ref>Nicolette knew Ed.  He was the one she’d done the errand for, where she had been taught the map ritual.  It was the kind of ritual she liked, where she did it once and got a benefit thereafter.  It did close some doors, though.  To always know where she was, but to have a harder time navigating places that needed a little confusion.<br><br>
