John murders a soldiers and takes his eyes, also gaining a last name.

The squad is targeting person of interest (a practitioner) who is there with a reporter and a squad of soldiers they take losses but the killing helps John clarify.

He revies after getting shot in the head and the heart finding his squadmates bound by the war practitioner.

Angel is forced into a dog tag while Ribs tells the reporter about what he and his kind is: the perpetrators of the conflict and confusion of war. He tells the reporter specifically  Which leads to the practitioner shooting her in the back. No witnesses.

Then Ribs showcases an interesting timed explosion trick.

Buried under the rubble he finds that he can now talk. Ribs hasn't reformed his confection and binding probably didn't help.

The local Black Dog has ended up killing people too and this lets people Yalda has clarified.

The chapter picks up again overlapping with the previous chapter. John ruminates about his life and lost opportunities.

Then The Wolf shows up.

the trio's allies rush to collect information to use to help Avery and john is dispatched.

He heads off to protect Avery after the wolf showcases dangerous knowledge

He is largely ineffective.
