==Plot==
[[Kelsey Kelly|Kelsey]] goes into [[Avery Kelly|Avery’s]] room to talk to her about seeing her dad for thanksgiving, asking her to make peace with him as well as [[Declan]] and [[Grumble]].

Meanwhile, a [[Squiring & Servantry Squared Away|squirrel and pigeon]] rummage through her dresser, pulling out cloths for her. They also leave a pair of earrings behind.

[[Kelsey Kelly|Kelsey]] tells Avery that her dads has been speaking to a former co-worker who’s son is trans and Declan is learning computer coding. She says Avery’s [[Connor Kelly|dad]] want to go out for dinner with her at some point. Avery asks if she can stay at [[Lucy Ellingson|Lucy’s]] for thanksgiving.

Avery talks to the pigeon and squirrel, learning their [[Queen Sootsleeves|Sootsleeve’s]] minions.

Avery checks her texts, [[Fernanda Whitt|Fernanda]] is no longer allowed to talk to her any more, theirs also messages from [[Raquel Musser|Raquel]], [[Zed Sadler|Zed]] and [[Jude Garrick|Jude]].

She calls [[Queen Sootsleeves|Sootsleeves]], gets her to stop sending minions into her house and asks her to attend the founding of [[Lost Kennet]].

Outside the school she finds [[Florin Pesch|Florin]], he’s been allowed to leave [[Thunder Bay|Thunderbay]] in exchange for making Oaths and offering them three favours, he hands her his business card with the promise of a reasonable favor on it.

[[Avery Kelly|Avery]] and [[Nora]] are at Nora’s home, Nora shares her worries about Avery’s friends then the two watch a movie together.

Avery mentions she’ll have to leave for a bit for thanksgiving and [[Nora]] points out that she’s often on errands. [[Nora]] confesses that she worries Avery will go off to Kennet and not come back, Avery promises she’ll she her again then they kiss. [[Avery Kelly|Avery]] tells Nora her mum is back and when Nora asks how she knew Avery says it's "[[Practitioner|magic]]".

Back at home Avery agrees to have that dinner with her [[Connor Kelly|dad]].

She spots [[Miss]] outside and they discuss the founding of [[Lost Kennet]]. They discuss what Path Miss should choose to depart from, running through several different options. Sootsleeves joins them.

Eventually they settle on the stuck-in place, it contrasts with Kennet because it’s hard to leave where as kennet is hard to enter, it’s also a bit of a dead end just like Kennet and they can create an escape route for it. It can also be used to counter [[Charles Abrams|Charles's]] claim.

[[Miss]] notes two drawbacks, first that she killed one of the [[Edward Garrick|Garricks]] their and that Avery hasn’t visited it yet. She offers the chance to visit it but Avery decides to ride back to [[Kennet]] with her family instead.
