==Plot==
Blake is trudging his way through the snow, remembering his tactics for dealing with the cold when he was homeless. Along the way, Dickswizzle returns, bringing some fresh clothes and weapons. Rose complains about how unpleasant Goblins are to work with. She also explains why [[glamour]] made Blake feel so weak, and a bit of how [[chronomancy]] works.

Eventually Andy catches up to them. He says he was asked by Laird to follow Blake, and keep an eye on him. They have a chat. Blake gets annoyed why everyone keeps call him a dangerous idiot with not long to live. He gets Andy to explain a bit about himself and Eva. Frustrated because the [[Witch Hunter|witch hunter]] serves his enemies but is too strong and pacifist to justify retaliation, Blake lets Rose take over the conversation. Rose challenges his beliefs, but ultimately fails to do anything meaningful. 

They finally make it back to the [[Hillglades House]]. Blake's instincts kick in, telling him something's wrong. Andy explains that Laird and Sandra were able to manipulate the police, figure out what Blake did, and return home to finish the ritual. The ritual placed a time slowing effect around the house, essentially cutting Blake and Rose away from their sanctuary and resources. Andy leaves to report back to Laird. Rose calls the [[Mann, Levinn, and Lewis Firm|Lawyers]] to get them a ride to [[Toronto]].
